Invisible and impossible to ignore

The JL Audio Fathom IWS in-wall subwoofer systems are based on the same groundbreaking technologies used to develop JL Audio's freestanding powered subwoofers. As a result, they deliver the same remarkable performance – with the huge advantage of remaining virtually invisible in your listening room or home theater.

Each Fathom IWS-108 system is powered by a rack-mountable external high-power amplifier with up to 300 watts of power, programmed individually for each system. In addition to the amplifier's wired RCA and speaker-level inputs, a JL Audio JLink port (RJ45) is also available. This allows signals to be sent from the source device to the amplifier wirelessly.

Two for the price of one

JL Audio also offers the Fathom IWS-SYS-108 as a dual system, the Fathom IWS-SYS-208. The set includes two enclosures, each with an 8-inch woofer, and one (!) JL Audio SA-600W subwoofer amplifier – with double the power (600W) thanks to the parallel wiring of the woofers – for twice the fun.

Dependable as always, exceptionally high quality

The full range of Fathom signal processing features is also on board, including the powerful 18-band Digital Automatic Room Optimization (D.A.R.O.) system. Everything is accessible via an easy-to-use, menu-driven interface and an LCD display.

The subwoofer enclosures have been extensively engineered for maximum rigidity while maintaining a very shallow profile. The driver grilles are suitable for all common drywall thicknesses and can be painted to match the wall color.

A unique bass reflex design with a slot around the driver mount improves efficiency and low-bass performance. Inside the enclosure is a long-throw 8-inch woofer, which JL Audio develops and manufactures for its Fathom IWS products to its usual exacting standards.

The smaller 8-inch woofer in-wall systems from the Fathom family are somewhat easier to integrate than the larger Fathom IWSv2-SYS-113 and IWSv2-SYS-213.
