The Kuzma SAFIR 9 tonearm is now the culmination of development work and the attempt to conjure more music from vinyl records than has previously been possible.

The heart of the tonearm is a very rigid and stiff, conical sapphire tube that allows the cartridge to realize its maximum potential. The bearings are Kuzma's own unique design with 4 spikes inserted into sapphire cups, similar to those used in 4Point tonearms. All four points have minimal starting and moving friction and zero play in all directions, ensuring that the headshell moves across the record precisely and with minimal vibration.

The sapphire tube is fitted into a solid block of solid aluminum and brass, which provides passive support and thus further absorption of vibrations that occur during playback and bearing movements. The counterweight with a locking mechanism balances the tonearm. Azimuth and VTA can be adjusted in small, repeatable steps and without play using an Allen key.

The tonearm is attached to the turntable's armboard via the Kuzma arm base. The VTA is adjusted by raising or lowering the tonearm pillar in the arm base with a VTA screw that controls its height, thus still allowing precise VTA changes when needed.
The internal wiring consists of high-quality silver wires made of special alloys. A set of 4 wires runs continuously from the cartridge pins through a 1.2 m long tonearm cable with silver RCA connectors.

SAFIR 9 brings out the ultimate potential of your cartridge, pure musical enjoyment that makes you feel like you have a new record collection.
