The Stabi SD turntable is a special version of the Stabi S turntable that can accommodate two tonearms. The second tonearm is mounted on the extended T-section of the main turntable chassis. The Stabi S turntable can be modified to accommodate a second tonearm simply by replacing the shorter part of the T-beam with an extended version (either 9- or 12-inch version), which also increases the mass of the Stabi SD turntable. Due to its design, the existing Stabi S lid does not cover the Stabi SD. The Stabi S can also be converted into the Stabi S 12-inch version.

The additional mass also improves the sound performance of the turntable!

General description:

Its unique shape and construction made of solid brass rods offer an extremely rigid connection to the platter, bearing, and tonearm mount. There is no flat plate to vibrate and transmit resonances, just solid brass rods with a diameter of 50 mm. A second brass rod provides stability, and the two are clamped together in a T-shape. The motor is housed independently in its own brass tower, which dampens the vibrations of the motor itself.
The bearing consists of highly polished, fine-grained carbon steel with a single-point contact, while the bearing sleeve is made of a resin/textile material that has excellent damping and resonance-free properties.

With a mat on the top and a rubber damping insert on the bottom, the solid aluminum platter provides a stable, resonance-free platform for records. A 45 rpm adapter is included and is simply placed over the 33 rpm pulley. The turntable can accommodate various tonearms through the use of different pre-drilled brass plates and allows for VTA adjustment on any mounted tonearm.
