The XL DC differs from the earlier Stabi XL, XL2 & XL4 turntables through the use of a very special DC motor, a precision-milled plastic belt, and a new power supply (PS DC), which gives the platter a new, unique, and consistently precise drive.

The new platter drive elevates the performance of this turntable to a new level.

This brass and acrylic clamp provides additional damping and helps minimize vibrations. It also has a positive effect on record shaping by flattening warped records.

The record mat consists of a semi-hard combination of rubber and fabric. It is used to hold the record firmly in place, thereby ensuring improved sound quality.

The tower is made of solid brass, which provides additional rigidity and offers structural damping for the tonearm. The arm board can be exchanged to mount different tonearms.

The lever on the side of the VTA tower allows for three preset positions: one for standard records, one for thinner records, and one for thicker records (up to 180 g).
