Professional yet emotional: This is how music becomes tangible

The Black Cube SE belongs to the pinnacle of phono preamplifiers. It goes without saying that only the highest quality components are used for this. For example, for particularly low-noise reproduction, we use input stages that manufacturers of professional studio electronics also install in their mixing consoles and microphone preamplifiers.

Thanks to a maximum gain of 66 dB, virtually all systems on the market, from high-output MM to MC, can be connected to the Black Cube SE. There is a slot for each channel for the solder-free installation of a custom impedance, and there is also an additional, direct-acting hard-wire slot. If you require resistors to match your personal system to the Black Cube SE, we will include them with your order free of charge.

The highly accurate, passive RIAA filter network is located between two linear gain stages and is realized using high-quality, pulse-resistant polypropylene film capacitors with tight tolerances. This allows transients, dynamics, and timbres to reach the listener unadulterated. The audio section contains additional assemblies for effective hum, RF, and noise voltage suppression. The use of a double-sided audio circuit board also allows for additional ground planes for interference-free operation.

The PWX power supply – compact and full of power

The powerful external PWX power supply is just as compact as the audio section. This allows you to set up the Black Cube SE directly next to the turntable. Potential losses due to cable lengths are minimized, and sonic degradation has no chance. Neutrik XLR connectors with gold-plated contacts ensure a secure connection between the audio section and the PWX power supply, and the cable between the audio and power supply is shielded. Furthermore, both housings are made of non-magnetic material (aluminum) and are mechanically dampened in the lid.
