The active BW-2 was designed as a wide-bandwidth subwoofer for reproducing music and home cinema audio with full dynamics and precision. The BW-2 is visually unobtrusive and can be placed either upright or on its side.

The heart of the BW-2 is not an ordinary amplifier, but a proprietary development. This component, developed specifically for the BW-2, offers an output of 400 watts.

Within the compact housing of the BW-2, the massive magnet and voice coil of the custom-developed 10-inch long-throw driver ensure precisely controlled playback. The driver responds exceptionally quickly and boasts high efficiency. Due to the open design of the basket, ventilation occurs beneath the spider. In combination with the vented pole piece, this prevents mechanical power losses caused by overpressure or underpressure when the diaphragm is deflected.
