The Lyngdorf CS-2 is a compact full-range speaker specifically designed for discrete placement in cabinets such as lowboards, sideboards, and TV furniture. For this purpose, the CS-2 is designed with a front-firing bass reflex port, while the tweeter is mounted both elevated and angled. This specific placement of the tweeter reduces sound diffraction from furniture edges within a cabinet and also improves sound dispersion towards the listening area.

While the design and shape of the elevated tweeter are useful in most furniture, it fits seamlessly with Danish Clic audio/video furniture with its elegant fabric doors.

Best sound performance

The Lyngdorf CS-2 is based on the same mid-range driver and tweeter as the CS-1, in a less wide but taller cabinet while offering the same sound performance. Due to the front-facing bass reflex port and a linear frequency range down to 42 Hz, the CS-2 does not require support from a subwoofer.

The powerful 6.5-inch mid-range driver is equipped with a very strong magnet, and together with the bass reflex, the low-frequency performance is surprisingly powerful for such a small cabinet.

The speaker cone is made of aluminum, which is extremely light and stiff, and is designed with a single, well-defined breakup point that can be easily countered in the internal filters. The textile soft-dome tweeter, with its special elevated and angled placement, ensures clarity and an impressive soundstage, even when the speaker is placed in a sideboard or furniture piece.

Designed for cabinet installation
The CS-2 was developed for placement in cabinets and furniture and is a solid MDF construction with a durable and easy-to-clean matte black finish. Self-adhesive rubber pads are included with the speaker to prevent scratches on the furniture surface and to absorb resonances between the furniture and the speaker.

The CS-2 is supplied without a front grille to allow for the clearest sound performance, for example when placed behind the fabric doors of TV furniture. With its size, dimensions, and elevated tweeter, the CS-2 fits perfectly into the specialized audio/video furniture from Danish manufacturer Clic. Further information can be found at www.clic.dk
