Lyngdorf Audio presents the new FR-2, a high-end floor-standing speaker designed for placement near a wall, ensuring ideal visual and acoustic room integration. The FR-2 is specially tuned for superior music reproduction directly against the wall, while its very slim cabinet shape and selection of cabinet colors and fabric covers also allow for particularly good integration into modern living spaces.
Lyngdorf Audio from Denmark is known not only for digital amplifiers, multi-channel processors, and RoomPerfect calibration, but also for loudspeaker construction. The FR-2 is already the 18th model in the current loudspeaker and woofer portfolio. FR stands for Full Range, and the FR-2 is the second full-range model for wall placement after the FR-1.
The FR-2 also marks a new era, establishing Lyngdorf Audio's new in-house cabinet manufacturing and painting facility in Denmark.

BEST SOUND PERFORMANCE THANKS TO WALL PLACEMENT

The drivers are integrated into an unusually flat loudspeaker design that takes advantage of room acoustics instead of working against them. The FR-2 has been specially tuned for wall placement by positioning the woofers as close as possible to the wall behind the speaker. This results in an ideal impulse response in the low frequencies and a surprisingly tight and powerful bass that cannot be achieved by many floor-standing speakers placed freely in the room.

HIGH-PERFORMANCE WOOFERS AND TWEETERS

The two high-performance 6.5″/18cm mid-woofers are equipped with a rigid, well-ventilated die-cast aluminum basket, an extra strong and large magnet, and a very light aluminum cone, while the 28mm soft-dome tweeter also uses an extra strong magnet. This ensures maximum efficiency and high reserves at maximum volume while maintaining the lowest possible distortion. The very linear impedance around 4 ohms allows any amplifier to achieve its best performance. The bass reflex port of the FR-2 is directed downwards, making it invisible and, above all, ensuring it always has the same ideal acoustic distance from the floor and the rear wall.

MODERN COLOR COMBINATIONS AND INTERCHANGEABLE FABRIC COVERS

The FR-2 is not only tuned for the best music reproduction near a wall but is also shaped specifically for this placement. The speaker is unusually flat, while the smooth, rounded edges, a baffle that transitions into the top, three modern and combinable color options, and two optional, interchangeable fabric covers from the Danish specialist Gabriel make it easy to integrate the FR-2 into any modern living room. The speaker can either stand on the floor or be placed even more space-efficiently using the optional wall bracket. The FR-2 cabinet is manufactured and painted in Lyngdorf Audio's new, in-house cabinet production facility in Denmark.
