The Matrix Audio TS-1 combines a Hi-Res network streamer, fully balanced D/A converter, powerful headphone amplifier, and preamplifier into a single device. Thanks to state-of-the-art audio technology and extensive connectivity, the TS-1 becomes the central control hub for demanding HiFi and desktop audio systems.

Hi-Res audio up to 32-bit / 768 kHz and DSD512

Experience music in the highest resolution. The TS-1 supports PCM up to 32-bit / 768 kHz as well as DSD512 (24.58 MHz / Octa-DSD) and reproduces high-resolution music files with exceptional detail, dynamics, and naturalness.

Fully balanced dual-mono DAC

Inside, two AKM AK4493SEQ DACs operate in a fully balanced dual-mono architecture. Separate, low-noise power supplies for each converter and consistently separated signal routing ensure exceptionally precise reproduction, excellent channel separation, and an impressively spacious soundstage.

Powerful balanced headphone amplifier

The integrated headphone amplifier delivers up to 1,000 mW via the balanced 4.4 mm output and 1,400 mW via the 6.35 mm jack output. Two switchable gain levels allow for optimal adjustment to sensitive in-ear monitors as well as power-hungry high-end headphones.

Streaming without limits

Access your favorite music directly. Support is included for TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Spotify Connect, AirPlay 2, Roon Ready, DLNA/UPnP, HIGHRESAUDIO, vTuner, and Radio Paradise. Additionally, music libraries can be conveniently played back via USB, NAS, or an optionally installed M.2 NVMe SSD.

Roon Ready and Apple AirPlay 2

As an officially Roon Ready certified network player, the TS-1 integrates seamlessly into existing multiroom and HiFi systems. With Apple AirPlay 2, you can stream music wirelessly directly from your iPhone, iPad, or Mac in excellent sound quality.

Extensive connectivity

The TS-1 offers numerous analog and digital connections for almost any audio source. In addition to HDMI ARC, USB-B, coaxial, and optical digital inputs, there is an analog RCA input as well as high-quality XLR and RCA outputs, including a controllable subwoofer output.

Flexible as a DAC or preamplifier

Use the TS-1 either as a high-quality streaming DAC with a fixed output level or as a preamplifier with adjustable volume. This allows active speakers or power amplifiers to be connected directly, making the device flexible enough to be integrated into a wide variety of HiFi systems.

Precise signal processing with dual femto clock

Two high-precision femto clocks handle the timing for different sample rates and minimize jitter to a minimum. Together with FPGA-based signal processing, this results in exceptionally precise spatial imaging, high transparency, and maximum detail resolution.

Networking via Gigabit LAN and Wi-Fi 6

The TS-1 supports both Gigabit Ethernet and fast Wi-Fi 6 (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz). This allows you to enjoy high-resolution music streaming stably and flexibly at any time – regardless of whether you are connected via cable or wirelessly.

Music server with SSD expansion

Via the integrated M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD slot, the TS-1 can be expanded into a powerful music server. Your music library is then available throughout the entire home network, while the TS-1 can simultaneously be used as a NAS for other compatible streaming devices.

CD ripping and local music playback

Connect an external USB CD drive and archive your CDs losslessly on the optionally installed SSD, a USB storage device, or a NAS. Of course, CDs can also be played back directly via the connected drive.

Optimized power supply and sophisticated circuit design

The vertical separation of the digital and analog sections reduces mutual interference and simultaneously improves heat dissipation. Additionally, the TS-1 supports the connection of an external 12-volt linear power supply to further increase the sonic potential of the power supply.

Convenient operation

The generous touchscreen, the high-quality remote control, and the MA Remote App for Android and iOS enable convenient and intuitive control of all functions – from music playback to system configuration.

High-quality CNC aluminum housing

The precision-milled aluminum housing offers a low-resonance construction and reliably protects the sensitive audio technology from electromagnetic and high-frequency interference. At the same time, the elegant design underscores the premium standards of the Matrix Audio TS series.
