The Meze Audio STRADA is a closed-back dynamic headphone developed with a focus on balanced tuning, practical usability, and long-term build quality. Sound Tuning

STRADA follows a philosophy of neutral to slightly warm tuning. The reproduction is controlled and coherent, with clarity and balance taking precedence over emphasis or coloration.

• Bass: The low frequencies are slightly elevated to provide substance and weight, while remaining tight and well-controlled. The bass does not dominate the presentation nor does it bleed into the midrange.
• Midrange: The midrange is linear and transparent, allowing vocals and instruments to be reproduced with natural timbre and stable positioning. Separation remains consistent even in denser recordings.
• Treble: The high frequencies are cleanly extended and restrained in level. Detail retrieval is present without being harsh, allowing for fatigue-free extended listening sessions.

Overall, the sound signature is even, predictable, and suitable for both casual listening and focused evaluation.

Closed-Back System

As a closed-back headphone, the STRADA offers effective passive noise isolation. At the same time, the spatial presentation remains structured and natural, avoiding the overly enclosed character often associated with closed-back designs.

Meze Strada Driver Design

STRADA uses a 50mm dynamic driver derived from the platform introduced with the 109 PRO, specifically revised for closed-back operation.

The diaphragm consists of a carbon-fiber-reinforced cellulose composite. The surrounding torus is made of a semi-crystalline polymer PVD-coated with beryllium. A copper-zinc alloy stabilizer ring surrounds the membrane to reduce micro-vibrations and distortion. This construction aims to ensure control, low distortion, and consistent transient response.

Build Quality & Comfort

The chassis is based on a revised architecture from the LIRIC series, combining metal and wood components in a functional, durable design.

• Macassar ebony earcups, each with individual grain patterns
• Magnetic earpads for easy replacement and consistent sealing
• Magnesium frame with multi-layer paint finish
• Padded headband with segmented support zones for even pressure distribution

With a total weight of 330g, the STRADA remains comfortable even during prolonged listening.
