The MUSICAL FIDELITY M3sCD is a superb CD player in every respect. It offers outstanding sound quality, excellent disc reading capability, and world-class technical performance.

The M3sCD uses a 24-bit digital-to-analog converter with 8x oversampling. This enables the M3sCD to reproduce even the most complex recordings with musical fidelity. Via 3 different digital inputs, the M3sCD can connect with all common external digital sources, which in turn benefit from the M3sCD's superb digital-to-analog converter.

The coaxial (RCA) digital input operates at up to 24-bit 192 kHz, while the optical (Toslink) input and the asynchronous USB input each process signal streams up to 24-bit 96 kHz. The M3sCD also features coaxial (RCA) and optical (Toslink) digital outputs.

The converted signal then leaves the M3sCD via gold-plated RCA connectors. With the help of the trigger connections, an entire system of devices can be switched on or off with a single command.

As is typical for MUSICAL FIDELITY, the measurements are not an end in themselves, but are nevertheless absolutely outstanding. The channel separation of a staggering 105 dB is far above the dynamic range theoretically conceivable for a CD, thus ensuring an absolutely stable and holographic representation of the musical performance. Distortion levels at 0.003% are at the limit of measurability, just like the signal-to-noise ratio at a fantastic 117 dB. It should be noted that distortion of 1% on average is considered acceptable for loudspeakers and 3% for analog cartridges.

The stable CD mechanism and the elegant chassis are ultra-solid and manufactured with the highest precision. The luxurious chrome plating extends not only to the front of the housing but also to all control elements and the top surface.
