The Equipment

The M3xDAC impresses with extensive connection and setting options as well as a high level of ease of use. The M3xDAC can receive signals from no fewer than 5 digital sources and translate them optimally back into analog. You have the option to choose the optimal filter setting for each source separately, which the M3xDAC remembers when you switch back to that source.

All of this can also be managed conveniently via the system remote control. The included remote control is not only designed to control the M3xDAC but also operates the M3si and the M3sCD. Thus, despite all the features, the operating concept remains slim and clear.

The Connections

On the input side, you have 2 coaxial, 2 optical, and one USB-B input available. This allows the M3xDAC to handle an extensive collection of digital devices with confidence, style, and optimal sound quality.

Smart TV, digital receiver box, streaming box, CD player, PC/MAC - everything can be connected at the same time and remain so. Finally, no more annoying unplugging!

The analog outputs are available in both balanced and unbalanced formats. This means amplifiers with either an XLR or RCA input can be connected to the M3xDAC.

Thanks to the decades of experience of MUSICAL FIDELITY and its origins in classic amplifier construction, these outputs are capable of driving even very long cable runs effortlessly.
Since both outputs have their own dedicated buffer stage, they can also be used simultaneously. This is practical for a dual installation consisting of, for example, a classic hi-fi system on one hand and an extensive home cinema setup or multi-room installation on the other.
