The MUSICAL FIDELITY M6sCD is a superb CD player in every respect. It offers outstanding sound quality, excellent disc-reading capability, and delivers world-class technical performance. It uses a 32-bit digital-to-analog converter with 192 kHz upsampling and reproduces even the most complex recordings with musical fidelity. We have adopted the fabulous CD drawer mechanism from the predecessor model M6CD, which performs its task perfectly and has proven to be extremely reliable in long-term use.

The M6sCD also features a wide variety of digital inputs. This means it is not only a top-tier CD player but also a phenomenal standalone digital-to-analog converter for your external digital sources!

The two coaxial (RCA) digital inputs work at up to 24-bit 192 kHz, while the two optical (Toslink) inputs and the asynchronous USB input process signal streams up to 24-bit 96 kHz. The M6scd also features coaxial (RCA) and optical (Toslink) digital outputs.
On the analog level, there are both RCA connections as well as the option to connect symmetrically via XLR to the subsequent amplifier. Using the trigger connections, an entire network of devices can be switched on or off with a single command.
As is typical for MUSICAL FIDELITY, the measured values are not an end in themselves but are nonetheless absolutely outstanding. At 0.003%, distortion is at the limit of measurability, as is the signal-to-noise ratio at a fantastic 117 dB. Please note that distortion of 1% on average is considered acceptable for loudspeakers and 3% for analog cartridges.
