MUSICAL FIDELITY uses a no-compromise, true dual-mono design in the M6si500 integrated amplifier. This ranges from the Class A preamp to the two separate mono power amplifiers mounted on individual heatsinks. The M6si500 delivers 500 watts per channel into 8 ohms. The two separate power amplifiers can provide a peak current of up to 200 amperes.
The M6si500 is a very powerful amplifier. Almost thirty years ago, the Musical Fidelity A1000 launched the entire super-amplifier genre. Over the last two and a half decades, we have further refined our original concept.
The M6si500 offers a comfortable 500 watts per channel, incredible load-driving capability, outstanding technical measurements, and excellent build quality through solid construction.

This remarkable integrated amplifier can drive any loudspeaker perfectly and to its maximum potential. Listening with the M6si500 is a sensory experience. It produces an effortless, silky sound with great dynamics. The soundstage is wide and deep. With its sonic performance, it plays well above its price bracket. Therefore, it is easy to understand why it creates excitement in everyone who has heard it.
The distortion levels of the M6si500 are extremely low at a maximum of 0.08%; even at 30 kHz, the values remain around 0.02%. The M6si500 can be conveniently supplemented with Musical Fidelity power amplifiers via a preamp output.

Thanks to its sophisticated preamp/power amp configuration, it produces large, stable soundstages with an effortless, clear, and very fine resolution. Its bass features immense impact and punch with a high-speed attitude. All in all, the M6si500 offers true high-end sound quality with a wide range of useful inputs – a compact, reliable package at a fair price.
In its current version, the M6si500 benefits from the experience gained, particularly in the preamp section, with all devices from the "s" generation. This allowed signal paths to be shortened even further.

Because of its configuration consisting of a preamp with two monoblock power amplifiers, both channels operate almost completely independently of one another – something one would actually expect from a preamp with separate power amplifiers, but not from an integrated amplifier.
In terms of connectivity, the M6si500 is very flexible. As is usual with MUSICAL FIDELITY amplifiers, there is a balanced input in addition to the RCA inputs, the signal for which is also operated in a balanced manner right up to the bridged power stages.
A special feature of all MUSICAL FIDELITY amplifiers is the AUX/HT input. With a switch, this input can be configured so that the incoming signal is routed directly to the power amplifiers (HT), bypassing the volume control. This is particularly useful if the M6si500 is to be used as an amplifier in a home cinema or as a second power amplifier in a set of two M6si500s in bi-amping mode. Normally, this input simply serves as an additional line-level input (AUX).
In addition, the M6si500 features a TAPE (line) output and a preamplifier output (PRE-OUT) for connecting an active subwoofer or additional power amplifiers.
The elegant housing is ultra-solid and manufactured with the highest precision. Thanks to their vertical design, the massive heatsinks allow the power amplifier to always operate under optimal temperature conditions.
