The MUSICAL FIDELITY M8s700m was enthusiastically received by knowledgeable audiophiles. Its combination of high power and modern technology has convinced everyone. With the revision of the M8 500s into the M8s500s, MUSICAL FIDELITY has utilized years of experience in circuit design (both discrete and SMD) to push sonic performance to the limit.
However, some customers simply do not have enough space for two large monoblocks and do not necessarily need that much power. We designed the M8s500s for them. Pairing it with the matching M8sPRE preamplifier creates an amplification package for top-tier playback.

The M8s500s is a fully balanced stereo power amplifier. It delivers 500 watts of power per channel into 8 ohms, which nearly doubles into 4 ohms. The M8s500s was designed for extremely low distortion, with less than 0.001% at 1 kHz and below 0.005% at 20 kHz. At a crazy 50 kHz, the distortion is 0.02%, climbing to around 0.06% at the even more ambitious frequency of 100 kHz. These may be frequency measurements you never encounter in the real world, but they prove one thing: the M8s500s has significantly lower distortion values than all its competitors.
Like the M8s700m, the M8s500s is exceptionally low-noise. Its combination of large power reserves, low distortion, and low noise contributes to its commanding performance.

It reproduces everything with incredible speed and precision, from the smallest nuance to a massive dynamic gunshot.
