The Empire Streamer DAC was developed in Brooklyn by the Mytek research and development team, led by Michal Jurewicz, Mytek’s chief design engineer, and is a marvel of engineering: it is mounted on a specially milled aluminum chassis, all components are of the highest quality and easily accessible. There are no “moving parts,” no fans, no rotating drives. The CPU is cooled by special aluminum heat pipes attached to the beautifully designed main chassis cover, which is milled from a single block of aluminum. The DAC offers the highest performance to date and can compete with the most expensive DACs on the market today. Computers are galvanically isolated from the analog DAC board, with computer/EMI noise eliminated by the “Faraday cage.” I7 CPU cards can be easily replaced by future, faster models. Based on the Roon OS Engine/Mytek OS, the Empire design is the most technologically advanced and best-sounding hi-res music streamer available today, and it has been designed to be upgradeable for years to come.

The Empire Streamer DAC is the best DAC Mytek has ever made, and most likely the best DAC ever made. Empire uses two ES9038PRO 8-channel chipsets, one chip per channel in a fully balanced dual-mono configuration. The ES9038PRO is the world’s highest-performing DAC chipset with 140 dB of dynamic range in balanced mono mode. No other DAC on the market today, including FPGA-based DACs, achieves the 140 dB dynamic range performance of the Empire DAC. This extraordinary resolution, combined with an ultra-transparent balanced analog stage originally designed for mastering engineers, reproduces everything in the recording with unprecedented fidelity. The Empire Streamer DAC is a complete Roon system packed into a beautifully designed unit in which all functions are optimized. Simply switch it on, connect to Wi-Fi or a wired network, log in to a high-resolution streaming service of your choice, and enjoy the music. The network configuration has already been carefully optimized for the best sound and the best experience: ultra-low-noise I7 CPUs have no moving parts and are powered by clean, oversized linear power supplies. The DAC board is 100% isolated in a “Faraday cage” and features its own dual mono linear power supply and a galvanic USB isolator for up to 32-bit/768k and DSD512 playback with the lowest possible interference. No distributed system consisting of several boxes can keep up with the optimized Empire architecture.
