STEREO NETWORK AMPLIFIER FOR MULTI-ROOM SYSTEMS

Network Stereo Amplifier

The 2 x 60-watt CI 720 V2 Network Stereo Amplifier is the perfect building block for innovative, custom home audio systems. Via BluOS™, it enables access to and streaming of high-resolution 24-bit music, controlled via smartphones or tablets – and it even works with the control platforms of numerous third-party systems such as Control4, Crestron, RTI, and URC. The latest version 2 of the device also supports Apple AirPlay 2.

HybridDigital™ – Class D Amplifier

The CI 720 V2 utilizes innovative HybridDigital™ technology. This is a self-oscillating Class D amplifier that operates with active negative feedback. It first converts the analog, wave-shaped input signal into a square-wave signal using pulse-width modulation (PWM). The music information is now contained exclusively in the changing pulse width. Since the power transistors only require two switching states – on or off – HybridDigital™ Class D amplifiers operate extremely efficiently, unlike Class A and B technology, and achieve a power efficiency of more than 90%.

PowerDrive™ for Large Dynamic Reserves

NAD's PowerDrive™ circuitry ensures that an amplifier has enough power reserves available even during extreme transient peaks to reproduce music signals with their full dynamics. When necessary, the power supply provides very high short-term current reserves, allowing almost double the output power to be mobilized for transient peaks.

MQA – Music in Studio Master Quality

MQA is not a new file format, but an innovative way to pack large music files using complex coding, an efficient compression technique, and a digital signature, so that even original studio master recordings in 24-bit/192 kHz format can be packed into comparatively small data packets and made available online. For this purpose, the music data is packed into any container such as ALAC, FLAC, or WAV. When played back via a decoder integrated into BluOS™, the player fully unpacks the file and returns it to its original format, the Studio Master file, without loss.
