Powerful 8-channel amplifier

With the CI 980, NAD introduces a new generation of high-performance amplifiers for custom installations and distributed audio systems. The CI 980 features 8 channels of clean, low-distortion power, configured in a 4-stereo-zone arrangement. With 50 watts per channel, the CI 980 is designed to drive low-impedance speakers and long cable runs. By utilizing the latest high-efficiency switching amplifier technology, the CI 980 is an entirely new design that is small, lightweight, and highly energy-efficient, while delivering the superb musical sound quality for which NAD is known.

Safe and easy operation

Reliable operation and easy installation were the primary goals in the development of the CI 980. The 2U rack height and the included mounting brackets ensure optimal use of valuable rack space. In addition, the high-efficiency amplifiers generate very little heat, allowing for the mounting of multiple CI 980 units in a single rack. Phoenix speaker connection blocks make installation a breeze. Two amplifier channels can also be bridged if higher output power is required.

Automatic power on and off

The CI 980 can be switched on and off either via the DC trigger connection or automatic signal sensing at the inputs. This ensures reliable operation under all circumstances.
