This compact and sonically excellent phono preamplifier allows you to connect a turntable to any amplifier that does not have a phono input. The device features connections for both Moving Magnet (MM) and Moving Coil (MC) cartridges. The NAD PP 4 also offers the option of digitizing the analog phono (or high-level) signal using the included software and transferring it to a computer.

Phono Preamplifier and A/D Converter

With the NAD PP 4 Phono/USB Preamplifier, you can connect your turntable to any stereo amplifier or AV receiver that does not have a built-in phono input. The device features inputs for Moving Magnet (MM) and Moving Coil (MC) cartridges. Additionally, there is a high-level input for connecting another audio source. The PP 4's automatic power-off function saves energy by automatically switching off the preamplifier after extended periods of inactivity.

In addition to amplifying delicate phono signals, the PP 4 allows you to digitize your records and save them on a PC or Mac. Included in the scope of delivery is VinylStudio Lite software for ripping LPs and burning audio CDs.

The PP 4 comes with a Mac and PC-compatible version of the VinylStudio Lite ripping software from AlpineSoft. With VinylStudio Lite, you can:
