Digital data transmission requires precise impedance matching of cables and connectors. Heimdall 2 S/PDIF and AES/EBU cables are optimized for digital signal transmission, utilizing a silver-plated solid core OFC conductor suspended in our proprietary precision Dual Mono-Filament construction. In the S/PDIF cable, this technology is combined with dedicated BNC/RCA connectors, creating a true 75-ohm signal path that meets the tight tolerance requirements necessary for clocking and handling digital outputs. The AES/EBU cable, on the other hand, is fitted with impedance-matched XLR connectors, providing a true 110-ohm signal path for digital data, resulting in clearly audible sonic and musical benefits.
