The Reference CDD7 (referred to as RCDD7) is a top-tier multifunctional playback device that integrates CD playback and high-resolution decoding functions. For CD playback, it uses an extremely stable, vehicle-mounted slot-in mechanism for reading, buffering, and subsequent decoding. The decoding chip uses the ES9038, and the decoder chip board features a plug-in structure to facilitate future upgrades. The analog output utilizes Class A DC analog filters and discrete component analog filter amplification modules. These are far superior to finished operational amplifiers when it comes to amplifying audio signals. They can handle higher power and have a deeper Class A bias, achieving a two-pole compensation scheme that operational amplifiers cannot, resulting in a more detailed and engaging listening experience with better imaging and soundstage than IC op-amps. There are two output modes: balanced and unbalanced.

As is evident from the digital interface, the RCDD7 is not only a typical CD player but also features three sets of digital inputs: coaxial SPDIF, optical fiber, and USB. The USB interface supports PCM768K and DSD512, which means it can be used on its own as a high-resolution digital decoder. If a digital streaming turntable is added later, it can become a multifunctional, comprehensive audio source for digital broadcasting.
