Monolithic

A cartridge for mono vinyl records with microgrooves (from approx. 1950). A stereo generator with two coils, which reads only lateral motion, produces an identical signal for the right and left channels, thus enabling unrestricted use in a two-channel system. An upgrade to the higher-quality diamond of the Ortofon 2M Mono SE is possible by mounting the Ortofon Stylus 2M Mono SE needle carrier.
