Mono rules!

The Ortofon MC Quintet Mono is a modern cartridge for mono vinyl records with micro-groove cuts (from approx. 1950 onwards). The diamond, with its slim, elliptical profile, minimizes distracting surface noise on worn and slightly damaged records. The resolution is superior to the spherical styli usually found on mono cartridges. A mono generator with a single coil produces an identical signal for both the left and right channels, making it possible to use in a two-channel system without limitations.
