The Ortofon MC Windfeld Ti Heritage is a special edition model in honor of long-time chief engineer Per Windfeld. The generator housing, manufactured using the Selective Laser Melting (SLM)* process, reduces unwanted vibrations to a minimum. The SLM process was first introduced in 2007 with the 90th anniversary Ortofon MC A90 Heritage cartridge. With the Ortofon MC A95 Heritage, offered for Ortofon's 95th anniversary, the SLM technology was refined by using titanium as the material—just as it is in the Ortofon MC Windfeld Ti Heritage. The Ortofon MC Windfeld Ti Heritage also shares a diamond with the highly acclaimed Replicant 100 profile in a specially polished version with both of these anniversary cartridges.

*SLM process: Powdered material is applied in layers only a few nanometers thick and fused layer by layer with a laser. This allows for the creation of internal cavities, such as cable channels, in components that could not be achieved through subsequent drilling or milling. Homogeneity and specific density are similar to those of the base material. The resulting component (cartridge housing) is very resistant to vibration, which is conducive to controlled playback across the entire frequency range.
