In Greek mythology, Kratos is the god of might and strength. This explains the naming of this Pathos amplifier in itself. Thanks to a potent 2 x 200 watts at 8 ohms, the Kratos demonstrates its incredible power even with difficult-to-drive speakers in a fascinatingly nimble way.

With dynamics and control, this 40kg heavyweight conjures up a soundstage in which one is happy to lose oneself. The combination of a thoroughbred Class A tube preamplifier with zero-feedback MOSFET power stages is implemented exceptionally stringently in the Kratos. Both amplifier sections are connected only by a short XLR cable.

A separate power supply, as well as the spatial separation of the balanced amplifier sections, are merely the logical prerequisites for such an amp for Pathos. In addition to the five RCA inputs, it is primarily the two XLR connections on the source side that benefit from the fully balanced design. For music lovers with digital sources, an optional high-resolution D/A module offers future-proofing.

High-resolution music files and DSD files are no problem with the 32bit/384KHz converter that can be integrated. For vinyl enthusiasts, the Kratos offers an analog option with a high-quality phono stage.

But regardless of which high-quality source is playing, the Kratos always demonstrates in a spectacular way how unbridled power and musical sensitivity harmonize.
