Cleaner power, cleaner sound

Computers, light dimmers, and other electrical villains introduce interference into the home power grid. Furthermore, mains voltage is not always consistent. Transparency suffers as a result, and details and dynamics are lost. It feels as if a (gray) veil is lying over the music.

The Pro-Ject Power Box RS Phono consistently isolates the sensitive circuits of the Pro-Ject Phono Box RS from the mains, as it features a battery optimized for audio operation. It can be used in pure battery mode, but also while charging. During the charging process, the separation from the mains is suspended – the batteries then act as a mains filter. Once the batteries are fully charged, the power supply and charging electronics are disconnected from the batteries by the microprocessor-controlled automatic charging system. Interference coming from the power grid can no longer impair the sound, and fluctuations in mains voltage have no influence on the power supply of the connected device. Additionally, ground loops are prevented.
