Technology
The British version of the Power-Line uses a wall plug with a housing made from thermoset resin. Due to their design, the floating contact pins offer a particularly large contact area with the socket. Clamping screws with a special profile secure the cable ends, while cast clamps both hold the insulated cable and decouple it from the equipment plug. A high-quality Furutech brand plug is used on the Power-Line version for EU countries.

The cable material consists of individually insulated copper conductors, each with a cross-sectional area of four square millimeters. A rubber outer jacket provides mechanical damping and sufficient stiffness to securely fix the cable in place.

The equipment plug is similar to the Schuko plug in many features: here too, the contact pins are decoupled, the sliding contacts are enlarged, and the plug housing is designed to minimize eddy currents.
