I25 DAC – modular integrated amplifier and digital-to-analog converter

The I25 DAC combines the DM35 digital-to-analog converter stage with the award-winning I25 modular integrated amplifier platform, featuring our UFPD 2 power technology with 100 watts of power per channel and the ability to add the SM35 Prisma network player module at any time.

Technology
The I25 DAC modular integrated amplifier is the latest version of Primare’s now iconic integrated amplifiers and is one of the first to use our new UFPD 2 power system, a radical reworking of Primare’s award-winning UFPD all-analog Class D technology.

Delivering 100 watts at 8 ohms of absolutely linear UFPD 2 amplification across the entire audible bandwidth, the I25 DAC provides a naturally fast, clean, and agile sound with an unprecedented ability to bring music to life.

In addition to five analog inputs, the I25 DAC includes a full-featured DM35 digital-to-analog converter stage that allows for conversion of up to PCM 768 kHz/32 bit and DSD 256.

The modular design of the I25 allows the amplifier to be supplemented at any time with the SM35 Prisma network player module for unprecedented system customization.

The I25 DAC continues a Primare tradition of delivering amazing performance from compact and elegant integrated amplifiers for easy installation in virtually any living environment.

An example of this is our signature control knob, which is known throughout the industry for both its appearance and how it feels in the hand when selecting an input or adjusting the volume. – or as we say lagom, not too much, not too little, everything in balance, proportion, and harmony.

Modular design and system building
We believe it is important to offer modularity whenever possible, in order to have exactly the right features, now and in the future. Modular design is featured in the I25 and I35 modular integrated amplifiers, as well as the PRE35 modular preamplifier, all of which can be updated with DAC and Prisma modules, as well as the CD35 CD player, which can have the Prisma module added, either at the time of purchase or at a later date. As a result, we are able to offer a carefully considered range of models and configurations to allow for a device selection that best suits any system need. For example, a CD35 with a Prisma module installed can be paired with an I35 integrated amplifier, allowing for separation of the analog and digital stages. Or an I35 with DAC and Prisma modules installed can be paired with a DD35 CD transport, allowing for multi-room and multi-zone playback from any input, whether an analog or digital source.
