PRE35 DAC – modular preamplifier and digital-to-analog converter

The PRE35 DAC combines the DM35 digital-to-analog converter stage with the PRE35 balanced stereo preamplifier, featuring a fully balanced analog preamplifier circuit and a modular design that allows for the installation of the SM35 Prisma network player module at any time.

Technology
The PRE35 DAC modular preamplifier is an exceptional system control center that offers unprecedented low-noise and distortion-free selection and transmission of any analog input, as a result of the carefully crafted, fully balanced circuit design, which benefits from the use of a four-layer main board to achieve the shortest signal path.

In addition to comprehensive input and output options with XLR and RCA connectivity, the PRE35 DAC includes the full-featured DM35 DAC stage, allowing for up to PCM 768kHz/32bit and DSD 256 conversion, and its modular design also allows for the SM35 Prisma network player module to be added to the amplifier at any time, providing unprecedented system customization.

When the DM35 module is installed, the PRE35 Prisma offers WiSA wireless speaker connectivity with high-performance WiSA-enabled speakers, a unique feature of this high-performance preamplifier.

The Scandinavian look
We believe that every aspect of our products – the look, the pleasant feel of the controls – contributes to the overall experience of living with Primare. As a result, Primare products exude the hallmarks of Scandinavian design – simple, elegant design with accessible and easy-to-understand functionality.
An example of this is our signature knob, known throughout the industry for both its look and its feel in the hand when selecting an input or adjusting the volume. – or as we say lagom, not too much, not too little, everything in balance, proportion, and harmony.

Modular design and system building
We believe it is essential to offer modularity whenever possible, to have exactly the right features now and in the future. Modular design is featured in the I25 and I35 modular integrated amplifiers as well as the PRE35 modular preamplifier, all of which can be updated with DAC and Prisma modules, as well as the CD35 CD player, which can have the Prisma module added, either at the time of purchase or at a later date. As a result, we are able to offer a carefully thought-out range of models and configurations to allow for a choice of devices that best suits any system need. For example, a CD35 with a Prisma module installed can be paired with an I35 integrated amplifier, allowing for a separation of analog and digital stages. Or an I35 with DAC and Prisma modules installed can be paired with a DD35 CD transport, allowing for multi-room and multi-zone playback from any input, whether analog or digital source.
