The new Primare SP25 home cinema preamp processor supports all common HD audio formats such as Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Pro Logic® IIx, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS, DTS-ES™, DTS-HD™ Master Audio, DTS-HD™ High Resolution Audio, DTS Express™/DTS-HD™ LBR, DTS:X, PCM 2ch, PCM Multch, Digital Stream Data (DSD), downmix, Dolby Surround (part of Atmos), and DTS Neo:6™

The decision regarding the video design of the PRIMARE home cinema line, SP25 and SPA25, was made during the development of the technical design strategy.
In the interest of a sustainable and functional solution, PRIMARE lacked the necessary confidence in the available 8K HDMI chipsets, and this assessment proved to be correct – as it turned out, 8K HDMI chips had a serious flaw that prevented them from working at the full specified resolution. In the coming years, no film content greater than 4K60Hz and 8K will appear for the home environment – against this background, the developers decided to implement a studio-grade video stage for 4K 60Hz UHD HDR video switching, including Dolby Vision, HDR 10, and HDR 10+.

The PRIMARE SP25 does many things better than its competitors. The developers' goal was to build an uncompromisingly audiophile-sounding preamplifier that is just as convincing in 2-channel playback as pure high-end stereo amplifiers – its sonic characteristics in home cinema operation are fascinating: incredibly fast, dynamic, balanced, high-resolution, with enormous control and the full-bodied charm of a tube amplifier, and with its extremely fast linear power supply, the SP25 delivers sound quality that is second to none.

To optimize sound quality, the decision was made to use room correction technology from Dirac Research, which is employed in professional recording studios. With Dirac, PRIMARE products adapt perfectly and ultra-precisely to any room situation to achieve the best possible sound performance. The PRIMARE SP25 is supplied with the free Lite version of DIRAC, which is the perfect solution for most users – those who wish to delve deeper into the subject of professional room calibration can purchase the full version for an additional charge at https://www.dirac.com/live/.

The SP25 Prisma also features Prisma technology for the playback of networked audio content. It offers an extensive range of operation and control options. It allows you to play back all stored and streamed media via a network, including LAN/WLAN, Bluetooth, Google Home/Google Cast, UPnP, Apple AirPlay2, and Roon-ready status including multi-room control. All functions are managed via the PRIMARE Prisma app, which is available for free for iOS and Android. Enjoy future-proof, lossless audio streaming. In the PRIMARE, all streaming audio services available in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store are at your disposal, such as TIDAL Master, internet radio, Spotify, Deezer, SoundCloud, Amazon Music HD, and many more.
