Pro-Ject MC Step Up Box DS3 B

The Pro-Ject MC Step Up Box DS3 B is a high-quality MC transformer for low-output MC cartridges and has been specially developed for demanding analog HiFi systems. Using high-quality Lundahl LL1678 audio transformers, the signal is passively boosted to MM level, allowing high-end MC cartridges to be used with a high-quality MM phono preamplifier. Especially when combined with tube phono preamplifiers, the DS3 B offers an attractive alternative to a classic MC phono stage.

The fully passive signal processing operates without its own power supply, ensuring a very low noise floor and minimal distortion. Two different gain settings of 24 dB or 30 dB can be selected via the front panel. Additionally, RCA or balanced XLR inputs and outputs can be used. This allows the transformer to be flexibly integrated into high-end, both unbalanced and fully balanced, systems.

The dual-mono design, the mu-metal shielding of the transformers, and the solid aluminum housing support interference-free signal transmission. The Pro-Ject MC Step Up Box DS3 B is manufactured in Europe and is available in black or silver.
