Pro-Ject Power Box RS2 Amp

The Pro-Ject Power Box RS2 Amp is a high-quality linear high-end power supply designed specifically for the Pro-Ject Amp Box RS2. Featuring a large toroidal transformer, elaborate filtering, and a fully non-switching power supply design, it provides an exceptionally clean and stable power supply for the power amplifier. This results in noticeable improvements, particularly in soundstage, detail resolution, and the overall clarity of the sound image.

A notable feature is the switchable output voltage of ±35 V or ±45 V. At 35 V, the Amp Box RS2 operates with greater energy and thermal efficiency, which Pro-Ject recommends specifically for 4-ohm speakers. In contrast, 45 V provides maximum performance – according to the manufacturer, this delivers up to 25% more power.

The massive toroidal transformer features a copper foil shield and a high filter capacity of 40,000 µF. Low-ESR capacitors, precise voltage regulation, a soft-start circuit, and overvoltage protection ensure a reliable and low-noise power supply. The 4.7 kg aluminum chassis is also designed to ensure the most interference-free environment possible.
