High-end sound and exquisite look

Developing an acrylic turntable is a complex task, but Pro-Ject has once again taken on this challenge. The result is a turntable that sounds and looks wonderful, yet remains affordable.

Premium tonearm

The XA B features a high-quality 10-inch aluminum tonearm with a solid bearing construction. The ultra-low friction 4-point tonearm bearing guarantees precise, stable, and accurate tracking. We use a one-piece aluminum tonearm tube instead of carbon, as aluminum optimally complements the sound characteristics of acrylic. The aluminum tonearm base offers true audiophile features. You can adjust both the azimuth and the vertical tracking angle (VTA). Adjusting and experimenting with VTA and azimuth is crucial to extract the last bit of performance from your cartridge.

Heavy aluminum platter

The 1.7 kg die-cast aluminum platter is reworked and precision-balanced in an additional step to ensure a perfect platter. The heavy aluminum platter has an inner ring made of TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) that helps dampen all resonances, thereby minimizing wow and flutter. The included Record Puck E provides additional damping and stability. Record pucks use weight to press a played record against the platter. By holding them together, the sound of the turntable improves in terms of timing and sound depth.

Height-adjustable, damped feet

The new XA B stands on three height-adjustable, damped feet to ensure the perfect position. By using three feet, we can increase stability on uneven surfaces, because a perfectly leveled turntable is essential for true high-end sound.

Premium DC/AC power generator

In all our turntables, we use a "cheap-looking" switching power supply. We do this because a precise, DC-driven AC generator is used inside the turntable to power the motor. This allows us to generate a completely new sine wave. This guarantees very clean power, resulting in improved speed stability.

The upgrade for your phono setup

A clean and stable power supply is required for your phono setup. The included power supply is already a good basis, but we want to go further. The Power Box S3 Phono provides power to the XA B and a Pro-Ject phono preamplifier. Its two outputs are specially designed for operating Pro-Ject turntables and phono preamps. The sophisticated DC filtering can have a dramatic impact on sound quality. In addition to the sound improvements, the Power Box S3 Phono also offers its users a cleaner cable solution, avoiding power supply and cable clutter.

True Balanced

The new Pick it PRO Balanced cartridge is a revised version of the Pick it PRO that enables "True Balanced" signal transmission for you. The great advantage of a balanced connection is the ability to remove picked-up noise and interference.
