Pro-Ject Metallica Turntable, this unique, top-tier turntable was created in collaboration with the American heavy metal legends, Metallica.

The internationally renowned band Metallica approached the Austrian turntable manufacturers and selected Pro-Ject as their partner for a Metallica-style record player. The result of this unique collaboration between Pro-Ject and the band Metallica could already be admired at the Munich High-End 2022. This is where Pro-Ject first presented this unique eye-catcher, and not just for heavy metal fans.

At first glance, the Pro-Ject Metallica Turntable reveals the band logo located beneath the fully transparent glass platter, which also dominates the entire shape of the chassis. The metal plate, polished to a high-gloss (mirror finish) and precisely cut in the shape of the logo, provides the MDF chassis with additional stability and that unmistakable "metal" look.

The heavy glass platter, with its resonance-free design, ensures precise playback speeds in addition to its aforementioned transparent gimmick. The combination of the diamond-cut aluminum sub-platter and a belt pulley guarantees an absolutely constant drive speed. Furthermore, the aluminum sub-platter adds even more mass to the entire platter and drive construction, leading to further damping of noise and unwanted resonances. The height-adjustable and sturdy metal feet position the turntable in an ideally level and therefore perfect stance.

The Pro-Ject 8.6” S-shape aluminum tonearm comes with a detachable SME headshell, thus ensuring easy cartridge replacement. For the tonearm bearing and tonearm base, the use of plastic components was deliberately avoided; both components are made entirely of aluminum. The Pick it S2 C MM cartridge is factory pre-adjusted and is also included in the scope of delivery. The tracking force and anti-skating are flexibly adjustable, making the Metallica Limited Edition Turntable an affordable luxury turntable from the Artist Collection.
