RPM 9 Carbon: Carbon coating & 7.2 kg platter

The RPM 9 Carbon uses an extra-heavy chassis construction made of CNC-machined MDF with incorporated steel pellets bonded in synthetic resin. Through elaborate heat treatment and a carbon coating, perfect resonance behavior is achieved. The mass-loaded drive is effectively decoupled from the surface by magnetic feet. Two like-poled magnets in the feet make the turntable virtually float. The pins in the feet serve only for centering. A specially polished aluminum platter with embedded TPE resonance damping uses a vinyl layer as a mat, and the inverted platter bearing with ceramic ball and plate offers outstanding smoothness and rumble-free operation. The extra-heavy freestanding motor is equipped with precise motor control, which allows for convenient 33/45 speed switching. With the uncompromising 9” Evo tonearm with a tapered tube and inverted point bearings, every phono cartridge finds ideal tracking conditions.

The RPM 9 Carbon is available either with or without an Ortofon Quintet Bronze. The signal is transmitted to the preamplifier via highly flexible internal wiring and the included Connect it Phono CC phono cable with RCA connectors (XLR available as an option).
