The Pro-Ject The Classic EVO is a tribute to the timeless models and icons of turntable design: classic shapes, reinterpreted. The careful selection of modern materials enables improvements wherever it makes sense.

The conical tonearm tube of the Pro-Ject 9cc is made of a carbon fiber/aluminum composite and features high rigidity and low resonance. The extremely low-friction ABEC 7 quality ball bearings pose no mechanical resistance to the tonearm tube. This allows it to swing freely, and the stylus of the cartridge can follow the record groove unhindered. The low-output MC cartridge Ortofon MC Quintet Red comes pre-installed from the factory, which harmonizes perfectly with the effective mass of the mounted tonearm. The medium-weight tonearm of the Pro-Ject The Classic EVO is also excellent for MM and MC cartridges, as well as Ortofon SPU N type MC cartridges with 1/2-inch standard headshell mounting. The sub-chassis, which is floating on TPE* elements, is finished with a layer of brushed aluminum. The convenient electronic speed control is a treat if you frequently switch between 33 and 45 RPM.

The polished aluminum platter and selected silk-matte lacquered veneers in walnut and eucalyptus underscore the classic appearance of the Pro-Ject The Classic EVO. Comes with a pre-mounted Ortofon MC Quintet Red low-output MC cartridge.
