The technology highlights of the Xtension series as a Special Edition in a metallic finish and with a high-end MC cartridge

The X8 combines the sonic advantages of sub-chassis and mass-loaded turntable designs, offering an affordable entry point into mass-loaded technology and the True Balanced connection variant (optional symmetrical cable required). The over five-kilogram platter is precision-turned from a single piece of aluminum and damped internally with a TPE* ring. An inverted platter bearing with ceramic running surfaces ensures absolutely precise and controlled rotation. Magnetic support with repelling neodymium magnets relieves the bearing of a large portion of the platter's weight, significantly improving the bearing's smooth operation.

The chassis consists of solid MDF. It stands on height-adjustable, TPE-damped aluminum feet, allowing for perfect leveling and optimal decoupling from any surface.

The Pro-Ject X8 comes in an elaborate, elegant metallic finish and is equipped with a factory-fitted Ortofon MC Quintet Black S cartridge.
