Reed 1H – your entry into the world of Reed

The Reed 1H is the new entry-level model from the renowned Lithuanian high-end manufacturer Reed. Despite its position in the product range, it uncompromisingly embodies the innovative strength and technical standards for which Reed is known worldwide.

The core of the development was the goal of achieving damping properties in a carbon tonearm tube comparable to those of classic wooden Reed tonearms. This was made possible by an elaborate design in which the carbon fiber tube is specifically damped with wood fibers. The result is an exceptionally balanced resonance behavior.

The gimbal bearing of the Reed 1H ensures excellent decoupling with a minimal contact surface. The vertical axis is equipped with a precise axial bearing, while the horizontal bearing is based on the proven axial bearing of the Reed 3P. The magnetic anti-skating adjustment, known from higher-end Reed models, is also used here.

Reed stands for individuality, innovation, and the highest precision. From variable tonearm lengths and different materials to freely selectable silver or copper cabling – hardly any other manufacturer offers comparable customization options.
