The Reed Audio Muse 3A is a compact high-end turntable from Lithuania, which, like the larger models in the Muse series, is designed for maximum flexibility and mechanical precision. Its central concept is the combination of friction wheel and belt drive in one unit, allowing two different sonic characters to be utilized within a single device.

It is driven by a coreless DC motor, which ensures a very constant and precise speed at 33⅓ and 45 rpm using a quartz-stabilized PLL control system. The drive is mechanically constructed to significantly reduce vibrations and resonances, among other things through a precise inverted main bearing and a low-vibration chassis construction made of wood composite material.

The Muse 3A has a modular design and can be operated with one or two tonearms ranging from 9.5 to 12 inches. This makes it suitable for both classic single-tonearm setups and more complex configurations with different pickup systems.

For easy alignment, the turntable features an integrated electronic leveling system that facilitates exact horizontal positioning, thus contributing to optimal tracking. Power is supplied via an external 12-volt power supply, and higher-quality power supplies are optionally available for sonic optimization.

Visually, the Muse 3A is available in various finishes, typically black, white, or a special red color. Overall, it is the slightly smaller and lighter variant within the Muse series, yet it remains a fully-fledged high-end turntable with very high flexibility and precise technical implementation.
