The Shelter 501 III MC is a high-quality Japanese moving-coil (MC) cartridge and is considered a musical all-rounder in the high-end sector. It is the further developed version of the 501 series and offers a very balanced combination of tonal warmth, detailed resolution, and dynamics.

Typical for the 501 III is its natural, slightly warm sound character with great spatial imaging and clean instrument separation. It performs very stably and is undemanding, making it suitable for many genres of music.

Technically, it works with an elliptical stylus profile and a lightweight aluminum/boron cantilever, which enables precise yet musical tracking.
