The Shelter 901 III MC is a high-end moving-coil cartridge from the Japanese manufacturer Shelter and ranks among the absolute top tier in the analog sector.

It is the successor to the successful 901 II and has been tuned for maximum musicality, naturalness, and spatial imaging. Rather than purely analytical reproduction, the focus is clearly on an organic, fluid sound image with excellent dynamics.

Its very stable and precise reproduction, which also combines well with many tonearms, is typical. The sound is full, calm, and musically cohesive, without harshness or overemphasis.
