Reference cartridge from Skyanalog. The manufacturer Skyanalog, successful for years in the market with high-quality MC cartridges, is introducing a new pickup: The "Reference" model is Skyanalog's top-of-the-line model and belongs in the absolute top class of cartridges. To achieve such a level of quality, designer Jack Leung developed a completely new MC cartridge, which is created with the help of an extremely precise manufacturing process. The completely redesigned cartridge body was created through a multitude of tests, the result being a highly resonance-resistant construction.

In addition, the symmetrical design allows for easy installation of the pickup and uncomplicated adjustment.

The new generator design allows for better noise suppression during playback. The precision-manufactured components of the magnetic circuit are selected before assembly to ensure the most accurate operation possible. The stylus with a complex Micro-Ridge cut ensures precise tracking of the needle in the record groove, thus enabling highly detailed reproduction of high frequencies with minimal distortion. In combination with the lightweight and extremely stiff sapphire cantilever used here, this results in one of the highest-quality pickup systems on the market.
