The M2 tonearms are the consistent further development of the legendary 3009 series from SME

These precision-engineered tonearms embody long-proven SME virtues and are excellently suited for a wide spectrum of different MM and MC cartridges. The SME base allows for easy installation and perfect adjustment of the overhang.

The tonearms feature a lightweight and very rigid tonearm tube made of polished stainless steel that is suitable for almost all cartridge types. The internal damping of the arm tube ensures optimal resonance behavior and outstanding tonality. The headshell is made of die-cast magnesium and is both very rigid and lightweight. The sophisticated mechanics allow for easy azimuth correction.

The arm geometry of the 9” tonearms corresponds to the legendary SME arms of the 309, IV, and V series. The tungsten counterweight and high-quality, selected, and stable ball bearings round off the sum of good ingredients. The tonearm is height-adjustable via a knurled nut. The M2 series tonearms are available in 9 and 12-inch sizes.
