The SME Synergy MK2 is the first integrated turntable from SME. In the Synergy, top-tier components from leading audio manufacturers merge into an outstanding record player. With the Synergy, SME has ushered in a new era of drive design by using the latest high-tech aerospace materials, which allow for perfect decoupling.

The new reference turntable, the SME Model 60, serves as the technology carrier for the improved drive systems of the SME Synergy MK2. Consequently, the technological insights gained from the development of the Model 60's motor and motor control have been incorporated into the Model 12 MK2. The new drive system features a specially developed 24V synchronous motor, which is controlled by a DSP-supported control unit, allowing it to operate with incredible precision. The DSP delivers power to the motor in two perfect sine waves, ensuring it runs exceptionally quietly and accurately. The motor and control unit are perfectly matched. The speed can be fine-tuned in 0.01% increments.

The SME Synergy MK2 comes equipped with an integrated top-tier phono stage based on the renowned BPS from Swiss specialist NAGRA, an Ortofon Windfeld Ti MC cartridge, and internal silver wiring from CrystalCable. The tonearm is a special black edition of the SME IV with a Synergy imprint.

The Synergy MK2 is a composition of the best audiophile ingredients available on the market and captivates from the very first note with its perfect, cohesive musical reproduction.

Every single component of the turntable was developed by experienced SME engineers and manufactured to the strictest tolerances. Superior workmanship, premium materials, and the craftsmanship of trained hands thus form the foundation for years of unclouded musical enjoyment.

The base of the Model 12 MK2 consists of solid aluminum and is milled in a complex and lengthy process on an ultra-precise high-tech 5-axis CNC machine in 120 minutes.

The bearing is a robust and long-lasting precision bearing from SME with a phosphor-bronze bearing block.

The platter is a sandwich construction with high inertial mass and outstanding damping. The platter mat is a micro-profiled material from the aerospace industry. The record clamp ensures perfect coupling.
