The SR-007S is the latest generation in the storied 007 series from STAX – a product line that has set standards for electrostatic headphones since its introduction. Building upon the proven SR-007 and SR-007A models, the SR-007S has been consistently refined, with a focus on acoustic fine-tuning, mechanical precision, and superior wearing comfort.

A new heart

At the center of the innovations are revised diaphragms and further developed fixed electrodes. These have been refined compared to the previous models: the openings in the large round electrodes have been reduced by 20%, realized through a high-precision etching process. The result is an even more balanced sound image with increased detail reproduction and improved control in the low-frequency range.

Rock solid

A key design feature is the new Anti-Resonance Structure (ARS). Inspired by the flagship SR-X9000, a redesigned headband with a seamless stainless steel plate ensures greater housing rigidity and significantly reduced susceptibility to vibrations. This is complemented by a movable hinge design that optimally adapts to the shape of the head, thereby improving wearing comfort – without the need for mechanical adjustment mechanisms.

Cloud-like comfort

High-quality genuine sheepskin cushions are used for direct contact with the ear. These are mounted on swivels and improve both the fit and acoustic properties. The material reduces distracting reflections, thus contributing to more precise spatial imaging. The also-revised inner padding complements sound absorption and provides an even clearer sound image with more depth.

Replace, don’t discard

The detachable, low-capacitance cable allows for easy replacement when needed and contributes to the product's longevity. Like all top-tier STAX models, the SR-007S is manufactured in Japan – with the utmost care and quality control.
