For many decades, the Stax manufactory has set standards in music reproduction via headphones. With the new SRM-270S driver amplifier and the SR-X1 headphones, the Japanese company is now making a large part of the extraordinary sound experience of its top models accessible to a wider audience.

The SRM-270S is naturally particularly well-suited for the new SR-X1 – the first Stax entry-level headphone with round electrostatic elements. It features high-quality RCA jacks that guarantee the best signal quality for the amplifier's sophisticated circuitry, and a three-millimeter thick aluminum front panel that feels fantastically solid.

To achieve particularly effective heat dissipation, Stax has enlarged the extruded aluminum chassis. The latest low-noise FET was selected for the first stage of the amplifier, and an emitter-follower circuit with brushes was used in the output stage. PARALLEL OUT connectors are installed for the input, allowing for easy connection to your hi-fi system.
