The Sub 1000 F subwoofer was designed for home cinema use in the best Focal tradition.
Packed with technology, this subwoofer features a 30 cm (12") woofer with a Flax sandwich cone. Thanks to the rigidity and lightness of this natural material, it can produce a very clear sound without distortion. The "Dual Magnet" offers phenomenal power, ensuring unparalleled linearity.
The Sub 1000 F includes a 1000-watt ultra-high-power BASH® amplifier, allowing the 30 cm woofer to reach its full potential.
Ultimately, its sealed design makes it extremely powerful in the bass while remaining very compact; this allows you to enjoy a pure, harmonious sound.

NEUTRALITY THROUGH FLAX
The subwoofer's driver utilizes Flax technology. Flax is a natural material with remarkable structural properties that are particularly well-suited for sound reproduction: lightness, rigidity, and good damping. The Flax cones offer enormous tonal neutrality and optimal sound resolution.
The Flax cone of the Sub 1000 F woofer, which is inspired by the Flax cone developed specifically for the Aria 900 loudspeaker series, has a different structure and is even stiffer: 2 layers of 160 g/m² glass fiber and a 250 g/m² flax core. It can withstand the high stresses of subwoofer use.

A SOPHISTICATED LOUDSPEAKER
The Sub 1000 F subwoofer also features a sophisticated voice coil drive designed to keep the coil temperature as low as possible. This allows the loudspeaker to produce clear bass and provides optimal dynamics as well as high SPL performance (103.5 dB/1 m @ 40 Hz).
The Focal Research & Development team specifically designed a spider/surround for the Sub 1000 F. The travel of this moving assembly is limited, allowing for controlled bass even during very high-excursion movements (up to 43 mm).
