The Takumi TT level 3.1 is equipped with a precision-machined Delrin platter. Delrin is the material of choice for several reasons. The material properties of Delrin and vinyl records are very similar, resulting in near-perfect coupling and thereby minimizing mechanical vibrations. Furthermore, the density of Delrin is higher than that of acrylic, which increases the mass of the platter, improves speed stability, and thus reduces wow and flutter. Finally, the elegant appearance of the Delrin platter is the "icing on the cake" for the level 3.1.

The chassis of the level 3.1 consists of carefully selected solid wood enclosed by two layers of acrylic. The top layer is mechanically decoupled to reduce potential vibrations. Wood options are beech or walnut.

Both control elements, speed and tonearm lift, are located in the front right corner, a typical 70s configuration. One lever is used for speed selection, 33.33 or 45 rpm. The other lever operates the tonearm lift. The tonearm rest and the damped tonearm lift are integrated with one another. The result is a clean, minimalist design with no compromise on ease of use. The height of the tonearm rest can be adjusted to match the VTA of the tonearm, ensuring that all lines remain straight and uniform.
