811 is a directly heated triode tube with detailed, clear and distinct sound characteristics. This is also the tube that the ThivanLabs research and development team values highly in sound reproduction and has been researching for the development of tube amplifiers since 2012.

However, it is not easy to design the optimal circuit for the 811 to maintain its exceptional sound quality, but once you have mastered this tube, the sound is extremely good. Since 2012, 18 different versions for the 811 have been developed, including push-pull and single-ended circuits in block or monoblock form.

For each model, many tests and experiments were carried out to optimize the sound and functionality of this tube, such as improving the OPT and the circuit. The successful results of this research process have led to the great sound of the latest ThivanLabs Magpie 811 amplifier.

The Magpie 811 is a single-ended integrated amplifier. In this version, the new Magpie 811 receives a broader and more dynamic sound in addition to the good sound quality of the previous 811 amplifier models. The high-frequency range is fine, airy and detailed.

The mid-range is warm, very soft and emotional. The bass is clear, coherent and deep. The combination with the 12AU7 pre-amplifier tubes contributes to a very soft, smooth and seductive sound.
