The Eros-7 is a member of the Eros speaker family, which focuses on dynamics and detail. This speaker model still utilizes the strength of the Eros series' typical mid-bass range, while the mid and upper ranges are refined to achieve sound sophistication and fidelity. Mid-high and high-range are the outstanding advantages of this speaker model.

Like the other models in the Eros series, the Eros-7 was developed with the goal of building a versatile and efficient speaker ecosystem for sound reproduction applications, ranging from home audio systems to performance sound system solutions in large concert halls, and this model can also be used as a reference speaker for monitoring in studios and music productions. The Eros-7 enjoys this great versatility thanks to its precise and realistic sound reproduction with a very good frequency range of 35 Hz - 20 kHz (-3 dB).

The important technical solution features and their efficiency in sound reproduction

* The minimalism of the crossover and its efficiency in signal transmission, preserving the energy, dynamics, and details of the sound.

ThivanLabs' sound and engineering philosophy emphasizes limiting the impact on the audio signal path to the speaker in order to maintain energy and sound accuracy when emitted by the speaker. Accordingly, the drivers have been carefully selected and tuned to meet our sound reproduction requirements. The Eros-7 still prioritizes the use of first-order crossovers. By choosing the optimal cut-off between the tweeter and the woofer, the first-order crossover makes the crossover point between the two speakers extremely smooth, while maintaining the detail, smoothness of sound, and musicality of the music.

The tweeter is positioned at a height suitable for the listener's ear in the listening position, especially when sitting on a sofa, to fully and delicately optimize the high-frequency range of 10-20 kHz for the listener's ears. This reasonable calculation has enabled the Eros-7 to create an airy, towering, vast soundstage like in a theater.

* Composition and structure: The proportions and construction of the cabinet as well as the optimized components, each used and matched to one another, truly bring out the efficiency and the sound.

The structure of the new generation of Eros speaker models is equipped with a very solid cabinet structure and construction. The speaker cabinet is 25 mm thick. This "solidity" helps the speakers achieve the most effective anti-vibration performance. As a result, sound details are reproduced in detail and distortion is very low across the entire audio frequency range.

The vent is located at the bottom of the speaker, facing the floor. Along with the calculation of the correct ratio between cabinet volume, vent size, and other important components, this position ensures that the bass truly propagates in all directions. The bass will always be full in the listening room without being heavily influenced by the placement of the speaker. This creates flexibility for setup in many different listening room sizes.

The new design of the speaker stand is one of the important improvements for our new generation speaker models with a wide horizontal design on the sides, creating four large, solid speaker legs. The speaker legs are designed to be thick, hard, and solid. Each side of the speaker legs is equipped with a large rubber foot, which helps the speaker stand firmly on the floor and provides extremely good damping at high performance. As a result, the sound of the high and mid ranges is clear and coherent. While the bass range is balanced, warm, and round, external influences that affect sound quality are completely eliminated. Despite using 12-inch drivers, the bass is still as energetic as large 15-inch drivers.

Versatility and variety of applications

Versatility and diverse usage is the goal and a new product development mentality of ThivanLabs. Accordingly, each model has its own strengths that are suitable for specific listening room areas. It can not only be used separately but also combined with other models in the Eros series to meet power requirements and reinforce sound in a large auditorium of up to 400 m2.

When used separately, the Eros-7 is suitable for rooms from 16 m2 to 30 m2. Power amplifiers starting from 8 W or more fit well with the Eros-7. For tube amplifiers, amplifiers with 6H13C PP, 811 SE, 300B SE, 211 SE, 805 SE, EL34 PP, KT 88 PP tubes drive this speaker well.

The Eros-7 is "small but mighty," which can be operated continuously with a capacity of 100 W RMS, so that it can be used in conjunction with other models in the Eros speaker ecosystem to reinforce the sound of instruments and vocals at concerts in large auditoriums. Through tests in an auditorium with 200 guests, the Eros-7 performed very impressively in collaboration with the Eros-12, enhancing the dynamics and details of the sound, especially for the high and mid ranges. The sound of this speaker system can cover the entire auditorium; at the furthest points, the sound is still full, clear, detailed, and vibrant. In this combination solution, the Eros-7 can be well combined with a 150 W tube amplifier.
